Family History

Arizona Native creator of FreshAZ Salsa, LLC, David White and family are no strangers to agriculture and freshly grown produce. They are a second-generation family in the Arizona produce business and display the essence of turning a family hobby into a selling product. The “Arizona Centennial Salsa” is a recipe with vegetables that support the immune system that has been worked on and perfected for over seven years celebrating 100 years of Arizona statehood.

The White family has a history in Arizona agriculture and real estate,David White owner FreshAZ Salsa, llc. starting as early as the 1950’s. David’s father, Ed White, graduated from the University of Arizona with a Masters degree in Agriculture, and then became one of the first to work with hydro cooled lettuce in Salinas, California. During this process, Ed would actually fly to the Department of Agriculture in Washington D.C. with the corrugated lettuce boxes on his lap! He later worked with Warehouser and National Container Company, supplying farmers their containers for shipping produce. The White’s family farm eventually developed into the Phoenix International raceway, with the fastest one mile oval in the world!

In the 1980’s, David owned and managed farms. He directed the shipping  facility for the largest carrot grower in the world; which grew and marketed over 80 varieties of produce throughout the country. David’s achieved unravled success by implementing quality control measures to reducing spoilage and loss from approximately 5% gross to less than .1% within 3 months tenure. Hands on lessons learned in the produce industry led to innovative proprietary preparation techniques that enabled FreshAZ Salsa to be fresh and naturally preserved.

David, wife Cheryl and 4 children have always enjoyed growing fresh vegetables and making healthy salsa. Over the years, the whole family researched and combined vegetables and herbs specifically known to heal and reduce pain in the body. David began serving FreshAZ Salsa to patrons at a local Phoenix restaurant called Joe’s Diner. Customers loved the product and could enjoy it with eggs, biscuits and gravy, omelets, pork roast, cheeseburgers and whatever else customers pleased. When the diner ran out of FreshAZ Salsa, the local patrons, such as policemen and firemen refused all other substitutes available.

FreshAZ Sonora Salsa and Mango BlueDavid thinks about fresh produce to support the immune system such as those that are endorphins and anti-inflammatory that can reduce pain. He says that salsa is a barrier breaker, “When the chips start cracking, the barriers start falling and the real mingling begins!” Making salsa as a hobby has brought his family together, saying “It’s rewarding for the kids to learn about fresh vegetables and business ethics as a family.” FreshAZ Salsa is a revolution in the Salsa Industry; it changes the way many people think about food.

“Salsa doesn’t have to be limited to a Mexican food served with chips, it is a healthy packaged fresh produce, versatile and ready to serve as a snack or with any meal.”
